Hand-drawn poster in tribute to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, an American indie rock band formed in New York City in 2000.
Karen O, Nick Zinner and Brian Chase perform the theme of their second album, "Show Your Bones" and "Skeletons", a single from their next album "It's Blitz!"
The scenario of the illustration is a throwback to the formation of the band and going back to their "useless, punk and dirty" days.
In fact, the band members met as students and shared a loft in New York. Hence the classic NYC brick wall backdrop and graffiti, a backdrop from one of his first energetic shows.
The psychedelic pattern on the torn wallpaper is the eyeball of the cover art for their single Zero. The iconic eye would have been recognized by anyone with the privilege to see the art-rock trio on stage being released like giant balloons in the crowd at their concerts.
In their fantastic performances of bold, dancefloor-friendly racket, they would never leave out one of their most beloved numbers, the single, "Gold Lion", pictured here with a pin on Karen O's jacket.
By the king of the jungle, there is a garnet brooch in the shape of a heart, after the song "Love Grenade", from his 2022 album "Cool It Down".
Beside these music easter eggs, resting in Karen O's heart, are the lyrics from "Maps". The lyrics are engraved on a jewel because they are understood as very personal. They were really being directed at her real-life lover at the time to stay by her side. The name of the song itself, "Maps", means “My Angus, please stay” to another musician named Angus Andrew.
