Oasis | Live Knebworth Festival Poster
top of page

Reinvented hand-drawn poster of one of the most iconic concerts from the legendary Oasis, an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991.

During the course of their existence, they had various lineup changes, with the Gallagher brothers remaining the only stable members.

Announcing the date and place of what was one of the biggest gigs in history are blinding lights leading the way, inspired from their most famous song, Wonderwall.

These particular ones are street lights from Manchester, as singer Liam and guitarist Noel are born and bred Mancunians, drawn here on the day of the gig, facing the 250,000 fans who went to see a show they'll never forget.

The brothers are coming from the same place but not standing together as they are notorious for their public feuds and their mutual dislike, and their animosity towards one another is the main reason the band broke up in the first place.

The steps are leading to the eye of your mind, in case they find a better place to play. Narrative taken straight from Don't Look Back In Anger.

On the pillars framing it are a Champagne Supernova in the sky, from the song with the same name, as well as the Gin and tonic Noel asked for in Supersonic.

On the second set are a ship and the tudor rose from the Manchester City logo, as the Gallagher brothers are die-hard fans.

The crystal roof where you can see stars shine through is from The Swindon Leisure Centre which offered unlikely inspiration to the band.
