This hand-drawn Ghost Band poster is a tribute to Swedish rock's most theatrical and mysterious act Papa Emeritus, the Nameless Ghouls, and the dark Catholic pageantry that has made Ghost one of the most visually arresting bands in modern rock. Illustrated entirely by hand in our Lisbon studio, every detail is drawn from the band's singular world.
At centre stage stand the seven Nameless Ghouls alongside Tobias Forge as Papa Emeritus — the demonic anti-pope persona that fronts Ghost's elaborate live ritual. The tinted church glass bearing the band's name is directly inspired by the Cathedral of Linköping in Sweden, the city where it all began.
Through the columns framing the illustration, three skeletons crawl toward the band — a nod to the horror film imagery and Scandinavian metal tradition that feeds Ghost's dark aesthetic. Theatrical, sinister, and unlike anything else in rock.
