AC/DC | Live in Paris 1979 Poster
top of page

Reinvented hand-drawn poster of one of the most iconic concerts from the legendary AC/DC, an Australian rock band formed in 1973.

Their current line-up consists of  Angus, Cliff Williams, drummer Phil Rudd, long-time lead vocalist Brian Johnson and rhythm guitarist Stevie Young.

The legendary night of the 9th of December 1979 marks the night that their live double album was recorded. A motion picture of this concert, entitled AC/DC: Let There Be Rock, was released theatrically and on videotape in 1980.

To represent Paris, where the night was immortalised, they are driving under the Eiffel Tower.

Hanging from it is Hell's Bell, a nod to the first track of Back in Black, widely regarded as one of the band's best songs.

The road is the Highway to hell, one of the songs played that iconic night, and the title track from their album which became the first LP to break the top 100 of the US Billboard 200 chart.

In the car are Cliff Williams and Angus Young. The car is a left-hand drive as they both come from Great Britain and the band originated in Australia.  Sitting next to Angus in his iconic schoolboy outfit, Cliff Williams holding his legendary stingray bass.
